No pun intended. What is your gut telling you? Do you think there's twins or triplets in there? Are you secretly hoping for a multiple pregnancy? Have you had a multiple pregnancy in the past?

I had an IVF with 3 transfers. The thought of triplets scares me, but I would be over the moon! I'm thinking there's more than one in there, I have a belly already and I don't know, it's just my gut feeling I guess.

Haha wow what a scary thought. It has crossed my mind a couple of times this week. I think that it would be sooo much fun to have two at a time but boy o boy the work!

I've thought of it in a *knock on wood* way. We only have a 2 bedroom right now, and doubles would be TOO MUCH!

We don't have any history of twins in our family so I'm not getting my hopes up. But I think it would be awesome. Kind of. Awesome but scary.

Twins run on my side (i am a twin) and DH's side too so we always had a chance of them plus we did clomid for 2 of our pregnancies so that slightly increased our chances but there was always just one in there!

Lol, that's the way it goes right? Those not hoping for multiples will end up with multiles! I agree that it would be a lot of work, but it would also be a huge blessing. I was sitting here thinking of the possibility of triplets, and the fact that I kicked DH out for having that affair. 3 brand new babies and a 4 year old. I'd be in over my head I think, but I would manage I'm sure.

No history of twins in either side of the family, haven't thought much about it.
While I welcome (and would love) anything that came my way, I would prefer to pass on the twins! lol!! We only want 2 or so children, I don't want it over the first time, you know? Plus, this is my first. Even one baby is scary! lol!

Okay well I just responded to you on the other post with your beta numbers, so now I just answered my own question lol. So you have 3 transfered, I had a feeling from the moment I seen your pg test that there is more than 1 in there, how exciting! We are ttc this cycle, but being more serious about this time I guess, we have the chance of twins so we will see. My mom is a twin (fraternal) and she also had a set of identical twin brothers, and then her mom and dad (my grandparents) also have a fraternal sibling. With my pg with dd we had two sacs, but by the next u/s the second sac was gone, so who knows. Anyways congrats!

I doubt it!! AND just an FYI its only if twins run on the Mothers side not the fathers!! I thought we had twins with my first because I gained weight so fast and DHs mom lost a set a twins as well as my mom. So I asked about possibilities and the Dr said its only a Maternal thing

^^Yup. We have twins all over our family. But only one set is right in line with being genetic (my mom's oldest sisters are fraternal twins, although one died at 4 days old).

I seriously doubt I am having twins this time. I would not mind, mostly. And I have always had a weird thing with twins (I have nannied for THREE sets, none of which I have initiated the relationship), but even if I am destine (sp?) to have twins, I don't think this is the pregnancy. My numbers look good, but not really enough to say "twins" and I just don't feel it with this one. We briefly thought Liam was twins because they were getting two heartbeats, but it was an echo (you would think they would check into this before saying twins outloud, right?!) It will be interesting. I have my bets hedged on two people...let's see if I am right

I would love to have twins. It would definitely cement the "we're done" idea. LOL! I don't know that I could convince DH to try again after #4. I don't know of any twins in my family, but DH's sister had a set. I am 35 now, and I have 3 children already. That already increases my odds.

Oh, and the genetics thing as far as twins go is only for fraternal twins. Identical ones are just random.

Grace, do you think so? That would be such a blessing! I should be getting an ultrasound on Monday, know for sure then hopefull. I feel like there's maybe a set of twins in there. We transferred 2 with the first IVF and 3 with the last one, and had some shots to help the chances in there too. Tired of the pokes and pricks! Good luck to you, sending tons of Baby dust!

Yikes!
Can I handle twins? LOL!!
I don't know. I think twins could be so exciting. On the other hand, so much work and a bit scary sounding!!
I don't have a gut feeling there are 2 in there.
