BTDT moms, how does this pregnancy compare to your other pregnancies?

This pregnancy has been exactly like my first one! And I blame my DH. We didn't live together during that pregnancy and I was horridly sick! My mom helped me do things and held my hair back when I puked. My second pregnancy...when I lived with DH..was a dream pregnancy...I was sick but once..I had a horrible migraine and wound up puking on DH once we went to bed (I couldn't get up fatt enough!) But other than that..I didn't believe I was pregnant until I felt her move (even after an u/s!) because it was sooo different. I was mean too! Just brutually mean. Not to everyone..mainly DH! And with the first, I was soooo emotional, cried for no reason and at any time of the day! I've been so emotional this time too.

I tell DH all the time, if we would have lived together with our first pregnancy, I wouldn't have had to relive it! he's been great though. I've never seen him move faster than when I say "I'm gonna be siiiiick."

So are you still throwing up? If so, I'm sorry. Morning sickness is the worst!

My first pregnancy was very different due to severe morning sickness/hyperemesis. It was a nightmare and I wanted to die. Those feelings lasted until about 20 weeks and then I think the excitement of the first pregnancy and being able to feel the baby move (along with the nausea getting somewhat better) helped me enjoy it a little more.

The last two times (including this one) I had "normal" morning sickness in that it was miserable but I was able to sort-of function and it eased up by 14 weeks. I have had similar aches and pains in both, similar other symptoms. BUT with this pregnancy I feel alot more irritable. It could be the anemia, which I haven't had before and is known to increase irritability. But I know what you say about being mean. Sometimes I can't help myself and I feel so bad! God bless our Dh's for hanging in there....

I agree! By the end of the pregnancy, I was surprised DH was still with me!

I wonder how this baby will act. Since my 1st and 2nd pregnancies where soooo different, and the girls acts soooo different, I just wonder who she will act like!

DD1 was laid back as a baby, she was a happy baby and is a happy, laid back (for the most part) preschooler. She likes routine and things a certain way, at times but is easy going for the most part. She LOVED her bouncer! We called it her hummer because it vibrated and we went through batteries faster than toilet paper. When we first moved in with her daddy, she slept a lot of nights in it because she liked to bounce to sleep. She loves to snuggle at night in bed, while watching tv between me and her daddy.

DD2 was a high maintenance baby. She was unhappy and cried a lot in the first 6 months of her life but she had reflux and stomach issues so we attribute that how she acted. After we got her reflux under control, yes it took 6 months, she cheered up but she was still high maintenance. She'd rather be held than play with her toys or sit in her swing/bouncer/crib. Today, at 2, she still likes to be held but HATES snuggling at night. I guess at night she wants her own space. She flips and flops and loves to sleep all the way UNDER cover!

They are both about the same honestly. No morning sickness, typical aches and pains, just my cravings are different. With my first son it was shake & bake chicken and lemonade, with this one it's apples and peanut butter and cinnamon and sugar toast. With both boys I had a huge craving for ice water, which is a good thing since I'm not usually a big water drinker.

As long as I take a unisom and B6 at night, I don't get sick. If I forget to take, I'm miserable by the end of the next day! Whatever it does, it works!

This pregnancy is similar to my other successful three, in that I haven't had morning sickness, I am carrying high, and have an irritable uterus. But being 6 years old than I was the last time makes it harder! I am soooooo tired and achy this time.

This pregnancy is totally different! 1st pregnancy with Braylon was amazing and simple. I had no morning sickness,I enjoyed every part of it, I didnt show until I was almost 7 months. I was very active until the very very end. But I was also 21 then.

This time around Ive been so sick, had bleeding complications for thr first 3 months, started showing at 8wks, so tired all of the time, gaining weight like crazy, everything hurts!! If my first would have been like this I dont know that I would have wanted another baby. I am 5 yrs older than the first, so maybe thats a big part of it. But wow!!

Mine have been remarkably similar, but not carbon-copy.

With Liam I was pretty sick (nausea and lots of bathroom/trash can visits) between weeks 6 and 15. I had HORRIBLE insomnia between weeks 11-25. He was a pretty quiet baby inside until the very-very end. I had no real cravings, felt pretty amazing right up until the end, and never really showed much...even to delivery. I did not gain any weight with him or have any pains of late pregnancy.

This babe...I was not terribly sick (just a couple weeks of bad nausea around 9-12). I had small bouts of insomnia, but nothing lasting or crippling. This baby is very active quite often. I still have no cravings and feel pretty stinkin' good. I am showing a bit more with this baby, although I can still hide it if I want. I have certainly gained weight this time...and am feeling some of the normal pregnancy aches and pains of being in the 30th week. Nothing major, just some back pain and feeling worn down.

All-in-all...I am an extremely lucky pregnant person. At least with these two I have been. I feel like my body tolerates and carries pregnancy pretty well. I can only hope delivery goes as smoothly this time. If so...I will declare myself "made for pregnancy/birth." Lol.

Both have been similar for me. I don't get morning sickness or have weird cravings (although I could eat cheeseburgers every day). I get a little acne in the beginning. I have extreme fatigue in the first trimester. I also start getting regular hiccups around 25 weeks that will last me the rest of the pregnancy. (By regular, I mean like twice an hour regardless of what I've eaten, whether I'm awake, etc)

This time, I've had more headaches and I'm getting more heartburn/acid reflux. I only had it at the very end with Q so I really didn't know what it was. I figured my body was just falling apart. I'm also a lot more paranoid about being ready this time b/c Q surprised us. DH thinks I'm nuts but I want everything done by Sept 1. All clothes washed, nursery painted/decorated, car seat bases in, diapers ready, etc.

Well, the last one was over by now and Jim was in an incubator in the NICU...so, already this one is WAY better than last time. That said, I was anemic last time and I'm anemic this time, and the weird bones-grinding-against-each-other back pain is the same.

My first two pregnancies were almost identical. I had some very mild bouts of nausea, but nothing that made me vomit...and they were rare. I suffered from mild to moderate heartburn right from the beginning, and that lasted all the way through to the end. My first, I had to be induced at the end because of low fluid and high blood pressure 10 days before my due date. My second, I was perfectly fine the whole way through and my water broke on it's own, before my contractions started, 12 days before my due date.

This time around, it's been totally different. I got morning sickness, vomiting about 4-5 times a week (so definitely not as bad as some poor women...but way worse than my previous pregnancies!) from 7-11 weeks. No heartburn to speak of yet (hope my baby isn't bald!), but I do get indigestion when I eat too much...and when I burp, my food is right there. This baby is also much more active than my other two...but I think with my others (at least one I remember was for sure) my placenta was out front muffling the smaller movements.

Baby #1 I craved pizza. I could have eaten pizza every day of the week!
Baby #2 I craved tomatoes...they seriously tasted like candy to me.
This baby I've craved both sweet and spicy foods.
