How ready are you now? Thing-wise, are you set for baby? How much more til you feel "ready"?

I'm a beginning of the month-er, so I have an early delivery date in my head (Hubby is convinced I'm giving birth exactly at 36 weeks). So this past month has been me going into overdrive getting things for Liam.
DH and I wrote everything from our registry and otherwise down in a google spreadsheet that I can view on my phone, color-coded it from NEED it before he arrives, (red) Could survive without it (yellow) and Not necessary right off, (green). It has helped me a lot to figure out how ready we are, and where we need to be.

We have almost all the necessities, only a couple little things that I consider a NEED before he arrives. Like DD's toddler bedding (too hot right now, she sleeps with just her one comfort blankie) Bottle warmer, bottle cooler (for the diaper bag), new dishwasher basket. And that's it for the mandatories. The rest is prefer to have before he arrives, like our cloth diaper stash, cloth wipes, all that stuff. We COULD use disposables, but I'd prefer to have the cloth... etc.

I feel so much better knowing that all that is MANDATORY in the view of the hospital/law etc for us is pretty much done. A quick trip to the store for formula and diapers and he'd be good.

If she came today, we could make do, but I'd probably be sending DH to the store to pick up some stuff. But I'm waiting to make any more purchases until after our shower on the 28th.

As far as big ticket items go, we got everything we are going to get. Smaller ticket items (diapers, clothes, misc) we don't have as much of. We have a pack of diapers, a grooming kit thing, some clothes and that's about it.

If she came right now, we'd be prepared, we'd just need to get her some more clothes and other small things.

Our shower is this coming Tuesday, so I'll have a better idea of where we're at after that.

I also made a list of the things that we NEED (vs. things that we want and things that would just be nice to have) before the baby arrives. Here's the stuff that's on the need list:

1. car seat
2. bedding for co-sleeper
3. wipes
4. infant insert for Ergo
5. boppy cover
6. co-sleeper leg extenders (our bed is really high off the ground)

The only thing we *need* is the car seat. I sold Logan's & we're getting a Chicco keyfit 30, but I want to wait until after our showers before we buy it incase someone wants to get it for us (uummm, pretty please grandparents??!! lol)

I have a ton of clothes already for her, the cloth diapers & my boobs for feeding. I have all of the big stuff left from Logan, the crib/dresser/changing table, the bouncy seat, the swing, the pack n play, my moby & all that jazz.

I'm almost ready...The major thing I need is a travel system...after that baby can come! There are some smaller things I want to get too, but that can always wait till he's here.

My big really random thing I WANT (bordering on a need, in my book) Are the wall decals/decorations.

Is it important for survival? No, Will he notice the difference? No, does it really matter if its done now or after xmas? No.

But on the other hand I can't stop obsessing about it...

The one thing that I'm pretty positive that we're not going to get for our shower that I really want but don't feel like I absolutely need is the BOB stroller that we registered for. I'm bound and determined to hold out for it vs. getting something cheaper, though, because I want something that we can take hiking, on the beach, and I can use for running. I just think it's going to be a little while until we can afford it, which means that I'm just going to have to put the baby in the Ergo or sling when we're out and about. Which is fine.

If Gavin came today we would be ready. The only things I don't have are bath stuff (I could use the sink and big towels if I needed to) and more cloth diapers. Right now I have a little more than a dozen.

If he came tonight, we have everything we need. He has a few clean sleepers, a carseat, clean diapers and my boobs lol.

There's still a lot of things I want though, before he arrives-travel system, pack & play, swing, bouncer and more clothes. And I will need a breast pump before I go back to work, but my work will supply that.

As far as feeling ready...depends on the day. Some days I feel good about him showing up, other days I panic at the thought of only having 70(!!!!) days left.
I think my biggest panic at the moment is not having enough clothes. Luckily, my friend stopped by work today and dropped off a box of her son's old clothes for me to go through. I've glanced through it already and there's a lot of newborn stuff After that's all washed, I'll feel a lot more prepared, I think

Well, we have a carseat we can use if we need to - need to wash the cover though. We have boy and girl baby clothes, I have my arms and my boobs and some blankets. Really, that's all I NEED.

As for what I'd like before s/he shows up? Mmm, probably need some pack-n-play sheets - but can use blankets if I need to.

For mo - I NEED postpartum pads of some kind. Either make them, order them, or go to the store and buy some. Same with nursing pads. Other than that, I'm good.

We have everything except gas drops, infant Tylenol and super aborbant pads for me. A diaper pail, changing pad and baby bath are on my "not sure if I'm gonna bother buying them" list.

The only thing we absolutely need is a carseat, which was recently purchased off our registry (so that means should be in the mail on it's way).

Other major things we have, just need to get it out of the attic space - bassinet, cloth diapers, bottles (in case no BF'ing). I have enough newborn/ 0-3 clothes but they haven't been washed.

My wants include an Ergo carrier, more cloth dipes, bath tub, variety of clothes items.

My shower is on the 28th, so after then I can start buying more.

I am decently ready.

We have the big stuff- crib, change table, car seat, stroller. Just have to put most of it together though!

I have a decent amount of clothes and all my cloth diapers.

I'm just waiting until after my shower on the 21st before I buy anything else. Once I see what I get at that, I'll finish my shopping!

All the clothes are already washed and put in her room, just need to take back out of the box's I just put them in a few months ago, lol.

I am READY. Like if it was healthy, I would want him here tomorrow

Although I would never want him to come before 37 weeks. I hope he holds out until then.

We have his room set up, his clothes hanging, the bags packed, the plans for Liam solidified, the doula set up. The only thing that has not been done yet is the baby's mural on the wall. She will be here early-Sept to paint that. But I even told her that I did not care if the baby was already here when she came. He will be in our room for a few months anyway, so it really doesn't matter if his room is not 100% complete before he gets here.

I have a couple things I want to do before he comes. But nothing that is major or NEEDS to be done before he comes.

I just can not wait to meet my little guy
