How's everyone in regards to post-partum vaginal pain?

I'm almost 4 and a half months PP and still having pain. It's exceptionally better than it was, but it is still there.

It still hurts a bit to have sex, despite using a ton of lube...and ocasionally I am still having random pains in my vagina and up near my clitoris. blah!

I am 4 months PP on Friday and still get random pains. It doesn't usually hurt during DTD. I didn't tear or anything during delivery so I know that I am pretty lucky on that front. I hope that it starts to feel better for you soon.

Did your doc check it out at your 6 week check-up?

I only ask because I had some pain after Liam and it turned out the stitches had caused tons of scar tissue which was actually affecting the vaginal canal. Thankfully, we did not try to have sex before the 6 week point with him, because I almost cried when they checked it at the docs office and found the problem. If you tore internally, even mildly, it can cause a build-up of tissue and that can cause pain. They fixed it, not prettily, but it still took time to heal after that. I don't have any pain any more, as the fix with kieran was simpler and did not have issues. I know Rachel had some of the skin buildup tissue problems I did/do, so I was wondering if perhaps you had some too and just didn't know it. I would expect that after 4 months it should be gone. I would get it checked out. Especially if you were still noticeably healing at your 6 week check. It could mean things did not heal up properly.

Either way, I hope it gets better for you. It is not fun to be in pain down there

I don't have any pain DTD, but I get throbbing in my labia when I lay on my right side for too long. Like if I fall asleep on my left side, I'll wake up a couple hours latter with the throbbing. As soon as I stand up, it goes away. I forgot to ask about it at my 6 week check up, so I've just been living with it

I don't have any pain, I don't think I ever did, even after my first...If it keeps up i'd ask your dr about it.

No pain here except when DTD. Which we aren't doing very much of because I'm so freaking exhausted.

Thanks for sharing your experience. My OB did check things out at my 6 week checkup because things were a lot worse at that point. She said things were healing fine and that breastfeeding can cause the perenium to heal slower due to the lack of estrogen.

I do have a checkup in March, so i will make sure to bring it up again!

I probably would if I have had sex since giving birth. But alas, there is no hanky panky here. I am TERRIFIED of the pain. I had an ungodly amount of stitches, past out from blood loss, then nearly passed out at my 6 week pp visit when I was checked out.
