Am I the only one ghat stillswaddles she wont sleep unless she is it is going to be a pita to break that habit.particulalrly because it is a big signal to her that its time to sleep when she is swaddled

I quit this time at about 4 months, but my oldest was swaddled until he was like 10 months old and the only reason i stopped was because he actually broke the zipper on his woombie (i think we were using it a little too far past the weight limit ) He freaked out at bedtime for about a week and then he was over it

Audrina wasn't much for swaddling from the beginning. I did attempt to go back to swaddling a couple weeks ago when we started her on a sleep schedule, but she still hated it!

Cooper never really liked swaddling so I only did it for a few weeks and even then I couldn't swaddle his arms. It only made him angry.

Same here! Lila is still not a fan of being covered she kicks them off in bed. She has one muslin cloth blanket that she tolerates though. It is even a challenge covering her when nursing in public. I have an Ergo now so I just put her in that to nurse discreetly.

As long as the swaddle isnt tight on her hips/legs I don't see why it would be a problem for as long as she needed to be swaddled. If it makes her feel secure than I think it is a great thing!

We transitioned Owen out of his just a few weeks ago. The first night was SO hard - lots of tears, lots of pick-up, put-down...second night was better...and now he sleeps without it. (I wouldn't say he sleeps great, but I don't think that has anything to do with the swaddle being gone, I think he just has a hard time sleeping.)

Jocelyn just stopped being swaddled about 2 weeks ago. She kept pulling her arms out at night. Like you, that's how she knew it was bedtime. So I was worried. She did alright. Now, she sleeps great. It took a bit to transition, and for us the answer was to let her sleep on her tummy.

I actually never swaddled brooke. I bought all those swaddler blankets and everything but never tried them.
