Okay so I spent the last year before i found out i was pregnant by counting calories and in that i dropped 50lbs. So as I shrank, so did my clothes, and i was quite comfortable in my size 10.
Since I found out i was pregnant i have ripped 1 pair of pants from my butt to my ankle ( these pants are size 13s) , I snagged my shirt on a rack at work and tore a hole where my boob is. Broke a bra strap and a shoe lace. I haven't gained any weight! There are 2 pairs of pants that must go into retirement now and I'm only 8 weeks Most of my shirts now will not cover the hole extend of my belly and I am just wondering if this is normal!
I find out on Thursday if I'm expecting twins (1st pregnancy) but i feel so silly because my close friend is a month ahead of me and isn't even showing.
some people show early. A friend of mine is 21weeks along with her first and the poor thing looks like she is about to pop any moment now. but when I was pregnant with DD I didnt show until 18 weeks. I think the smaller you are pre pregnancy the earlier you'll show once your pregnant.
I think everyone and every pregnancy is different. my last pregnancy I didnt show or wear maternity clothes until about 20 weeks. However I had a friend that when she was pregnant the first time got so huge the dr was sure she was having twins and kept doing ultrasounds looking for the second baby - she only had one and he weighed 5lbs at birth - however her third pregnancy was twins and she hardly gained any weight at al so they were totally shocked at 24 weeks to find out it was twinsl.
