I have horrible Fall allergies every year that I take a steroid shot for. Obviously, this year I haven't had the shot and I've been miserable! DH finally convinced me to call my doctor to see if there is anything safe for me to take. He said I can take Claritin!! What a relief! Just wantedt to share in case any of you are also suffering from the dreaded seasonal allergies.

YAY !!

I hope it works for you, I can't take Claritin because it gives me ear infections for some reason.

What a bummer! It's the only over-the-counter medicine that I've ever taken that even touches my allergies. I'm hoping it still works for me!

Hope they work for you. I've been taking 1 a day every single day for over a month now...zero relief...which resulted in a sinus infection now. Awesome.

I have year round allergies, have my whole life and since being pregnant it is amplified to the max! But the bad thing, nothing has ever helped. I have taken every allergy medicine you can think of! No joke. So I rely on eye drops, warm showers and hot tea.

I hope you get some relief!!

I'm sorry about the allergies! I hope it works for you. My DH has awful fall allergies (ragweed) and this year he started taking bee pollen. It is helping him a lot.

Aww I hope you all find SOME way to get relief! I thankfully don't suffer from allergies so I can't say I know how you feel

Thanks for the info! I've been having issues with my allergies and just figured there was nothing I could take.

I only heard recently that you can take Claritin, that would have helped me in the spring! I had bad allergies in NY before we moved, and when we went to NY in August i felt them again for some reason, but down here i'm fine! Oh but you can't take the one with the "D" in it, Claritin D.

I wondered about that!! I specifically didn't get it when I went to the store. I also just remembered that local honey is supposed to help with allergies. So, maybe that would help those who can't get medicine to work??
