I see the same OB at every appointment There are MANY of them at this hospital. I might have a different OB when I actually deliver, it depends who's on call. It doesn't bother me though!

Same as Julka. I see the same doc every time, but he may not be on call when I deliver.

How many OBs or Midwives deliever babies in the practice that you go to ? I think there are 3 others besides the main one i see.

Are you made to rotate between them or do you get to choose the one you see ? I start rotating on my next appointment at 28weeks so i get to know all of them.

Our OBs work in teams with 3-4 midwives. I'm met the OB that heads my team and two of the midwives so far. However, same as you all, you don't know who will be on when you deliver. They do offer a "Meet the Midwives" night though where we can go and meet everyone!

there are 4 midwives and 5 Drs but the way they work it is unless something goes wrong or you ask for them the midwives will deliver your baby. They handle about 80% of the births at my hospital
so far I have seen 2 of each (Drs and CNMs) and I hope to meet all the CNMs but IDK if I really NEED to meet the rest of the Drs but it probably wouldnt hurt.
when it comes to appointments you can request someone but I kinda go with who ever is open

I see the same OB everytime but if I go into labor on a Sunday I will have my OB's other OB since Sunday is his only day off. But I am hoping that I get the same OB since we know him. But I am sure that once in labor I wont care. I will just want the baby out!

I just see my OB but his only delivery day is Monday- so who knows who will deliver the baby. Last time I was induced and had him- I wouldn't be against doing that again just to have him- I love my OB!

I have a set dr that I've been seeing since I started going through, there are 5 drs in the practice though and I'm going to start seeing the other 4 starting next appt, than every other appt I'll see a new dr and next one see my dr until I've meet them all. It was my choice I wanted to meet them in case they were on call when I went into labor didn't want some random person delivering Hailey!

I see my family practice doctor. I see her for every appt. Generally, she delivers her patient's babies herself since she doesn't have a ton of pg patients all due at the same time like an OB does. If she is not available, then there are two or three other doctors at the clinic who also do OB that would deliver.

There is 2 OB and 2 CNM where I go. They like you to see each one of them atleast once and then after that you are able to choose who you want to see. After I've seen all of them I usually tend to stick with the midwives because that's who I want to deliver me.

my care is a bit complicated! we go between family practice and a clinic session which has about 10 midwives and about 5 OBs.
At the hospital, i see whichever midwife is free (but i have been lucky to see the same one) and then we see whichever doctor is free when its your turn. Because i am high risk this time tho, i see a doctor who specialises in my risks, but thats not the same one each time, and they will not be delivering my baby.

The labour ward have their own midwives who work only there, and only deliver babies, so i will not have met my midwife before i deliver. And unless something goes wrong, i will not see a doctor for my birth. Well, i will, cos the doctor on call kinda wanders in and out checking things out when he/she isnt busy, but he will be on call and not there specifically for my child!

There are 9 docs in my OB group. I see all of them aside from the one that I refuse to see. When I am induced I will have whichever doc is on call. I can be induced on the day that the doc of my choice is delivering, but my last induction was a 2 day ordeal so I will just have whoever to deliver. If it happens to be the doc that I refuse to see I will request the the hospital OB on call deliver my baby.

We have 6 OBs in the Group that I go to. I have met 5 of them and am sure I will meet the other before I have this baby.

We don't get a say in who delievers unless we are an induction or c section. I am not getting my heart set on any one DR.

With DS I was very lucky. I choose a practive that only had 2 OBs. When I was around 6 months pregnant they merged with another group and I only got to meet one of the Drs in it. Thankfully when DS was born it was a Dr that was in my old group on call !

I got to a midwife office that has 4 rotating midwives. I have met 3 of the 4 of them, so I hope I meet the other one before I give birth. Lol. It would be my luck that the one I don't meet is the one that is on call when I go into labor. Lol.

I see my family doc until about 28 weeks then I start going to my OB (first appt with him is next week!). I will go to him exclusively throughout the rest of the pregnancy but whoever is on call will deliver the baby (I lucked out last time, I was induced with my DD so my doc picked a weekend that he was scheduled and I got to have him deliver her - I also wouldn't be opposed to doing that again, he was a fantastic doc!) he's a popular OB in my city so at my first doc appt my doc asked if I wanted him again and when I said yes she put the request in right away so I would be approved to be his patient (he can only take so many patients).
