We're having homemade fluffy pancakes, with fresh strawberries, bananas, and clementines. And maple syrup. Yum!
We've been eating chicken for the past few days (my mom brought us a few packages) and while it's yummy, I am sick & tired of chicken right now. It's pouring rain outside, really darkish, and I just feel like something sweet & comforting.
What are you making/ordering tonight?

We had beef stew. It was gorgeous, just the right kind of day for it. It was lashing rain and pretty cold.
I make it with just carrots, potatoes, turnip, beef, stock and seasoning. let the potatoes go mushy and the stock evaporate off so it becomes like a thick soup. yum!

Yum! Love beef stew. Do you make it in the crock-pot or stove-top?

I just had broccoli, garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms sauteed in garlic and onions. Odd combo, I know, but that is what looked good!

I think its a leftover night. We have homemade chowder, pasta and stuff for quesadillas left from the past few nights! Hopefully one of those will sound good in a couple hours, lol.

It's just me & the little guy tonight (hubby's out of town) so I'll probably do up a Taco Bake or lasagna so I can keep leftovers for tomorrow
It's almost 6.. I better get going on that.

Dinner tonight was super easy since I was lazy and we are going on a trip tomorrow so we don't have much food left - macaroni and cheese, PB&J, applesauce and milk! LOL

I made it an easy night too because I was planning on doing some baking after dinner. So we just had tuna casserole and texas toast.
I just got done making gluten free peanut butter cookies and they are yummy!

My mom makes it in the crock cos they like it liquidy. I cant seem to get the thick consistancy I like using the crock so i do it on the stovetop. I like the stock to reduce down and the potatoes thicken it, but its nice with a more liquid juice too!

Subway sounds sooooo amazing! I really want some!
Today, even after feeling down in the dumps I made lunch which was meatloaf and greenbeans and then for dinner I made wild berry pancakes. I was hungry today...

OHhh man i miss my crock pot now!!!! Back in NY we were staying in the lower half of my moms house and the cabinets fell off the walls in the our basement kitchen...yes fell off the wall and on top of me go figure. I was holding one section of them up as they came down because it fell as i opened it. Well my point is it destroyed everything, including my crock pot but i'm waiting till we move to get a new one.
And my original reason for posting LOL last night i made Southwest Chicken with Basmati rice (lol i always make this rice) and steamed broccoli. It was really good, better than i expected to be honest.
