This is my third and I am older but I am getting a ton more braxton hicks than I ever remember with my first 2. Anyone else getting them? Some take my breath away and i have to lay down or sit down for a while. They do eventually end but man I swear I get them almost every day. I haven't brought them up to the doc and am wondering if i should next time i go.

I get them a lot too. Mostly when I am doing too much. So, I've gotten to the point where I just have to stop what I am doing & lay down to relieve them. I would mention it to your doctor so that they can make sure you're not dialating thought.

I would bring it up just because it cant hurt for them to be aware of them.
I have been having a lot of contractions but my munchkin tried to come at 28 weeks so I was expecting this with him

I've been having them on and off all day every day for over a month now. I mentioned it last week and my midwife did check my cervix, but said it was completely normal. She said the more pregnancies you have and your age are both factors in feeling stronger BH. I'd definitely mention it next visit, but not worry about it

I am definitely having more BH contractions than I did with the others. I had heard that they are more frequent and stronger when you've had multiple pregnancies, so I wasn't worrying about it. I will probably mention it to my Dr. on Monday when I go for my checkup, just to be safe.

I would mention it to your dr if I were you.

I'm having a lot of them too. My OB told me if I have more than 5 in and hour to call or if I can time them to call. Wednesday I have having a good many and they were a little painful too but after laying down and drinking some water they went away.

I've been having them for months, but definitely mention them to your doctor. Like someone else said, if you have 5 or more in an hour you definitely need to contact the dr.

This is my third and I'm also having the same thing. They are getting more painful and make it hard to breathe. I can't walk a lot or I get them, even from just walking around my office.

I did mention it to my OB who said that as long as long as they're no 5 minutes apart, lasting a minute and increasing in intensity then it's okay. She checked my cervix and it was still long enough and closed. She said one of the reasons could be because of having had other children, but also just that it happens sometimes. She did say I may need to stop work earlier though.

Oh my gosh me too. I did not get hardly any with the last two but this time around my stomach gets so tight with him it's hard to breath. I have to sit with my feet up to make them go away. I would mention them at your next appointment... I plan to do thR this week as well.

I still don't know if I am having them. I truly have NO idea what they feel like.

My tummy gets hard daily, but it doesn't exactly go away after a few minutes. Like today, it was hard the WHOLE 5-6 hours I was on my feet doing stuff at my Baby Shower. Pretty sure that's not BH?

I have been getting them a lot this time too. I don't remember having nearly this many with my other 3 kids. They didn't really have me concerned but then I started getting period like cramping along with them. That freaked me out. I went and got checked out. My cervix is long and closed. Dr. says to drink more water, eat bananas and make sure to take my vitamins. She said it could be from a vitamin defiency.

I've been getting them too! I didn't notice them with DS, but this time they are kinda uncomfortable. My doc said it was normal. He got a little mad at me for not going to l&d when I had some real contractions last week. He said if there are more than 5 or 6 in an hour (real contractions) go in. I had like 6 or 7 in an hour but they went away with rest and water.
