So Lina has been pretty congested off and one for a few days now. Then she started with a cough a couple of days ago. So I decided to take her into the Peds office that try's to make me give Lina her shots. Arrghhh
So it turns out that she has a double ear infection... I feel horrible because I don't know how long it's been going on for, she was only tugging at her left ear every once in awhile and I thought it was due to teething. I was apologizing to Lina in docs office while I was cuddling her and doc did say that he didn't think it was going on for that long, though I think he said that just to make me feel better.

While at docs office I wanted her measurements done, she's good on weight and height. 26 inches and 16 pounds 6 ounces. Her head is only 15 3/4. Which doc is actually ot worried about because her head always measured small, so head is only in 5th percentile.

So next time I mention to SO that I want to take Lina to docs office and he tells me she is fine,it's just a cold, I will not listen...

Awww!! you are NOT a bad mom! These poor little ones can't always tell us exactly what's going on, and we can't always guess correctly! It's not your fault and the important thing is she's going to feel better very shortly! Glad to hear she's doing well growth-wise!

We kind of had the same thing go on today. Duncan has been congested and crabby as all get out at night. Two days ago he started with a cough. Dh took him into the pedi today and he has a respiratory infection, sinus infection and ear infection. He is now on an antibiotic and an inhaler.

I have learned to listen to my mommy instincts LOVE DH, but when my oldest daughter woke up with swollen puffy eyes a couple months back, he said it's because she cried earlier; ended up being Pink Eye and she was put on antibiotics and what not. Daddies mean well, but they don't have our mommy-senses! Don't beat yourself up; like Alissa said - babies can't talk. They cry over everything and it's hard to distinguish one cry from another. You're a good mommy & she'll be fine!!

Aww so not a bad mom! They can't tell us what's wrong, it's so hard to know!

Your a wonderful mom! Those ear infections can pop up over night. When Ethan was little he was sick so I took him to the dr and they said there was nothing wrong probably just a cold. By the next morning he was worse so I took him back and he had a double ear infection. I thought they just missed it but he said they can happen over night.

Don't beat yourself up about it!!! Myah had a cough for almost a week before I took her in!! We were all fighting something and it would get better than not and she got lost in the shuffle a bit.
