This is one of my Dhs and My fav recipes!! Its Delish if you like sandwiches like philly cheesesteaks!!!
1 tablespoon of oil (I suggest EVOO)
1 lb of beef, (steak like cuts) e.g beef round, londonbroil - in Strips
2 Green peppers, cut into strips
2 onions cut into rings
salt and pepper to taste
4 hoagie rolls split lengthwise (toast if prefer crunchy)
1 (8 ounce) package of Mozzerella cheese, or cheese of your liking
1 tsp of dried oregano
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1 cube of beef bullion
about 1/4 cup of water
Sauce
1 cup Mayo
2 cloves of garlic, pressed or minced
TIP-If you have your meat semi frozen its a lot easier to cut into strips.
1.Combine mayo and garlic in bowl, cover and put in fridge
Preheat Oven to 500 (or broil)
2.Heat up oil in large skillet (medium heat) and add meat, saute beef untill lightly brown, add bullian and water and stir, (makes creamy not dry beef mixture YUM) and veggies and seasonings and saute untill tender. remove from heat.
3. Spread each bun generously with Mayo mixture, divide beef mixture onto buns, top with cheese sprinkle with tad more oregano. (easy to do this while buns are ON baking sheet rather then moving them to one)
4. Heat sandwhiches untill cheese is melted and slightly brown.
ENJOY. I like with potato salad or french fries. Or for a lighter note a green salad.
