Ok...I started the prenatal vitamins on Thursday.
I have had upset stomach since that night. Even when I pee, I smell the vitamins.
What's up with that?

EVERYTHING smells so strong. Even the toilet water?

I ALWAYS get heightened sense of smell when I'm pregnant. In fact that's always my first symptom and once it happens I'm like "Time to pee on a stick." My prenatals give me food aversion IF I don't eat something small before I take them. First trimester I generally have sour stomach early in the mornings as well and will usually go away once I eat something.

ALERT!

Another cool thing about prenatals is the iron in them turns my bms green

I can't take my vitamins unless I've had a fairly large meal, which has been dificult lately... I don't know if you've tried the gummy prenatals, those are much easier to get down.

i cant take mine without eating first. i have to have something in my stomach or i'll get sick. also i know this but they have started to turn my poop drark green. at least i think its my vitamins. i tried looking online to see if "green poop" was common in early pregnancy but everything said it was from the vitamins.

I don't take prenatals. I have tried with every pregnancy and it just doesn't work for me. So this time I am taking the folic acid by itself, 800 mcg. That is the most important part of the vitamin. After the first trimester I will try taking a vitamin again. My 5 previous pregnancies I ended up taking children's chewables instead of prenatal vitamins, with 400 mcg extra folic acid.

I tried 5 different ones before I found the ones that worked best for me (My OB gave me samples thankfully!)

Hmm, i have no problems at all taking my vitamins. I started with BioMulti (folic acid 400 mcg) and now i take Elevit pronatal (folic acid 800 mcg). I take them with bigger meals around noon.
