This is ironic seeing as how Enfamil just sent me a free trial container in the mail!

I plan on BFing anyway, so I was going to keep it for the first month just to make sure I didn't need it, then donate it to a women's shelter, but I will definitely check to make sure it doesn't just need to go into the trash.

My MIL just called to tell me about this. I was coming on to research. TFS!

I actually checked mine. I have two sample cans from doctors as well as a can we bought to have on hand just in case an emergency came up. Ours are fine, but someone else's may not be so I definitely wanted to pass this along.

After reading the article, they are not even 100% sure that it was the formula and that the formula was just pulled as a precaution. It tested negative for the bacteria in the plant. They are also looking to the water source that they used for the formula. It will be interesting to see what comes of this. It's so sad for the family.

Yep, better safe than sorry though for sure! I'm glad Walmart stepped up and did this without being forced to.

Yes, I would check the lot number. It said the can in questions was a 12.5 oz can. I checked my numbers and all is clear.
