just wondering who all the knitters are?

I'm pretty new to the world of knitting - well, self sufficient knitting I used to get Mum to do all the 'tricky' stuff for me

Me

I'll admit, though, that I have five different projects going right now, and no plans to finish any of them anytime soon. One is a rug I've been picking at for over a year. I'm a lazy knitter.

Me. I have lots of projects on the go too. Mostly just cast on woolie things waistbands and half finished scarfs/started socks. Today I started a hat cause well just cause. I have ideas of finisihing 2 of them for friends DD's birthdays in June, never mind that I've never actually done a hat. I really should finish some of my longies that I was trying to get done for Isobel's birthday and failed to.

I am! I've taken a break on clothing since Ezra was born, but was a knitting fool while I was pregnant. I haven't found anything I'm super excited about. I did knit some bunny rattles for easter.

I've made two soakers, although neither of them had enough wool content to make them a functional cover. I haven't really done any knitting recently in favor of sewing pillow case dresses for the girls.

I'm late here, but me, me, me! I LOVE to knit. I go in stretches though--I'll knit like a fiend for a year or so and then put things down for many months. Right now I am almost finished with a blanket for baby due in October, and I've got plans for soakers and babylegs and other knit baby stuff. My mom helps too--I think she has about 8 baby sweaters ready to go in various sizes for boy or girl since we don't know which we have.

I'm even later! Knitting I've found calms me down, and it's one of the only things I can do when I can't be at my machine or spinning wheel.

I love knitting as well. I had a heck of a time picking one project for a going home outfit for my baby. I made a really cute long sleeve hooded one piece but it was way to big for a newborn, so I knit a poncho, booties, and mittens, and she came home from the hospital with none of it on. Ha! I made six soakers for her before she was born, but then she was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and put into a harness so we put off cloth diapering, and at three months she's too big for those soakers now, so I'm getting ready to knit some more. Very excited about those. She should be getting her harness off by the end of May.
