I save it and put it in the baby book with the date it feel off
ive kept the other kids as well
( my mom kept all of ours thats why i keep my kids )

I'm tossing it. I actually have to take Claire in to the dr this afternoon because hers started to stink last night and I'm afraid it's infected. I did keep and dry her umbilical cord
I tried to make it into a heart....
but it ended up looking like a dead worm...

Looks like placenta.
And I tossed his cord stump. Hospital didn't really give me a chance to say whether I wanted his placenta or cord

I'm all about sentimental stuff and keeping mementos, but it grosses me out that I have to deal with the little stump until it falls off, so it'll get tossed as soon as it falls off. I don't even want to touch it to throw it away...

I felt the same way. I knew other people kept it, but was grossed out by it. Then, when it fell of yesterday, I just couldn't bring myself to toss it. So, now I'm awkwardly holding on to it until I figure out what to do. Rather keep it for a bit and not want it than toss is and be sad it's gone forever. I have NO clue why I don't feel ready to toss it. Truly. lol

here they put a little plastic tab on the end of it...so when its gone you don't have to touch anything.
