1. The beautiful place you prepared for baby to sleep in. That crib, cradle, or bassinet that you spent hours choosing and even more time finding the perfect sheets and comforter for.
2. Then show us where Baby decided he or she would sleep!
This is no longer set up for Winter. It's now shoved in our third bedroom(Winter's future room) with other furniture. This cradle is from my aunt, and the quilt is from her mother. It's a very pretty antique stuffed animal holder now! She never really liked this thing. I got her to sleep there swaddled, sucking on a paci, and already passed out.
This is what she really liked to sleep on. Well, this and us. lol We started keeping it in her cradle.
And I have a third... This is what we finally got for her because we didn't like the car seat in the cradle look. It folds flat and is oh, so portable. I wish I got the Snugabunny swing instead. This is the rock and play. Winter has decided to be a lap baby, and having a mechanical rocker would see to my house being so much cleaner than it is now!
Aubree is pretty good. Most of the time she will sleep in her crib. And it's in my bedroom, so that's good. I dunno why she's such an easy baby! Sometimes, if I have a hard time getting her to go to sleep, I will let her sleep with me, but those times are few and far between.
I have a bassinet next to my bed that i plan for her to sleep in for 3-4months
and she actually sleeps in it!! ( some nights she will sleep in the carseat but most nights she sleeps in the bassinet ) we have to rock her to sleep and then lay her in it!!
this pic was taken lastnight peacefully sleeping 7 week old baby girl
Thanks, Donise. =) I think it's a February baby thing. We all have the most adorable babies! I have to rock her, too, to get her to sleep. She doesn't rock in the cradle. It's in our recliner or bouncing on my knee for 20 minutes. She likes the harder movement of those as opposed to the smooth rock of that cradle. Swing might not be good at all come to think of it! lol
Isn't it weird how they can tell the difference between our bed and theirs? I will never understand how Alice and Winter sleep better next to our obnoxious snoring than in their nice cribs or cradles with a white noise machine going. Alice did the same as Mason.
Idk how they can tell the difference but he senses it within minutes. We try to put him in there once he's good and asleep and within ten to twenty minutes he's fussing. Our bed he sleeps for about three hours at a time.
Excuse all the crap in the background lol I have all his blankets and the clothes that fit him piled up on the chairs in our bedroom. I actually intended for him to sleep in his pack n play, but the bouncer won. So technically he's still in the pnp! But his dr told us we need to start breaking him of the bouncer so he has room to roll around at night. Not sure my sanity can handle that, the bouncer puts him right out!
I dunno, the thought of DD rolling around at night freaks me out a little. She can do that when I'm watching her. I'd rather her stay put while she's sleepin!
LOL Seriously! When Winter can roll, I plan on starting to actually use those straps in the rock n play! Isn't it enough that I stopped swaddling at a month? She sleeps an hour less on average now that she can smack her face again. She has plenty of time to roll during the day.
We always strap Nate in, as shallow as this bouncer is, I don't want him rolling or sliding out of it. He got so mad at tummy time yesterday, he rolled right over, I put him back on his belly and the stinker rolled over again. Mad or not, I now know he is capable. His pnp that he naps in downstairs is open, so we may just tell her he has time to stretch out and roll around there. Since he's been strapped into the bouncer, we stopped swaddling around a week old. I swaddled him the other day to see what he would do, and about 30 seconds later a little hand popped out, then another little hand, and pretty soon both arms, he's like a magician escaping a straight jacket hahaha
i wish we had a snugabunny rock n play...ours is just a basic one, nothing cute and fluffy about it. She sleeps in it every night next to me. It was a fantastic investment though. She'd prefer to sleep in our bed i'm sure but its not an option. Newborns/infants scare me in bed. Tyler never slept in our bed until he was over 6 months old. We intended for her to sleep in the rock n play, she doesn't have her own room, and she'll eventually end up in the pack n play in our room.

Snugabunny here, too. But I wanted her to sleep in it. We got it right before induction day. I wanted her on her back and slightly inclined, and this was the best and safest affordable way to do it. =]
