Robby rolled off the bed this morning. I already beat myself up over it, so please don't tell me how stupid and irresponsible it was to look away! Now I'm just trying to reassure myself that he's okay. He cried off and on for about 10 minutes and then fell asleep (it was naptime anyway). I can't see anything wrong with him, so I don't need to call the doctor unless: he throws up, won't stop crying, doesn't move normally, looks funny, or has dilated pupils, right?

Don't feel so bad, it happened to me with dd. It happens, we aren't perfect! I'd just call the nurses line at your pedi and they will tell you what to look for. ((hugs))

Please don't feel bad! I've read/heard this happens to most parents at some point. I bet he's just fine; probably hurt you more than it hurt him! DD always conks out after she gets hurt too, I wouldn't worry.

Thank you both so much. He seems to be ok. I feel like such an idiot; I tell DH ALL THE TIME not to look away while he's on the bed, and then it happened on my watch! Thanks for not making me feel worse!

When my first was 6 months he rolled off our king size bed onto a tile floor! I cried for a week cause I felt so bad. My ped told us to take him to the children's hospital but he had no bumps and was acting normal so we took him to urgent care. Didn't even check in and a nurse came out and said he looks fine and to

I'm sure he's gonna be ok! How high was the bed? What kind of floor did he land on? Babies are able to absorb much more than us.

It's a normal bed, I guess about 3 feet off the floor. He landed on carpet. He's still acting the same, so I think he's okay. DH has been gone all day, so I didn't get a chance to cry about it until it was all over. Hopefully, this is a lesson I remember and he forgets!

Everyone I know has had At Least One big drop-conk-bang-smash accident as a baby.... my cousin even got dropped in the Trash Can by the Dr. that delivered her.... slippery so he lost his grip as she came out.... and we're all fine!

You do your best but things are going to happen. Glad he's Ok!

Don't beat yourself up. Alice went off a high bed right onto her head around a year old. I was more angry at the brat distracting me from Alice than anything.

It happens to everyone. Don't beat yourself up! I have a bad habit of putting Claire in her swing unbuckled because she's asleep and I don't want to wake her. She can flip herself out so I always get her out as soon as I notice she's woken up but I know one day I won't be fast enough. I've GOT to get in the habit of buckling her in before I learn the hard way.

Don't beat yourself up over it hun,these things will happen it's an accident anyone can make. They're all over the place at this age it's bond to happen. I felt like crap and cried for hours when kyler fell out of his swing i think he was 2 1/2 months,because i forgot to strap him in. My mom made me feel better by telling me stories of her accident's with my brothers and i. Apparently a tv fell on me once,my brother stuck is fingers in the sockets,i fell out of my crib head first etc.
