Who's working or going back to work soon? How's it going - does Baby seem to like day care?
I go back to work in two weeks! I'm mostly looking forward to it, but I'm also really worried about how Evan will do in day care, because no one can get him to take a bottle. And I'm going to be gone 13 hours on the 29th because of Back to School Night (I'm a teacher). He has never gone more than 10 hours overnight without nursing... He starts day care next Monday (to give me a week of "real" vacation before starting work), so hopefully he can learn to take a bottle or sippy cup next week! Fingers crossed!
Aw, Kelly, don't worry! I'm sure he'll take a bottle for the daycare. I'm a teacher, too, and we're going back on the 20th and welcoming the kids on the 27th. I'm super bummed, but I had to go back to work when he was 6 weeks old and I know he loves his babysitter and that she takes good care of him, so it's not going to be as hard this time around. Aren't we lucky to have a career that lets us spend so much times with our LO's? (except for Back to School Night -- it's the worst!!)
I am looking for a job and struggling with wanting to find a daycare for Ellie. But I did reapply for my old job so high hopes that its me they want! ugh. my tummy turns with butterflies thinking about having to work and Ellie with a daycare provider.
I've been working since Aubree was 6 weeks old. I love my job, but I hate being away from her. Fortunately, she's the most adaptable baby on the planet and loves daycare. She has lots of little friends there. (And the little boys just fawn all over her... oh Lordy...)
I am having major anxiety about daycare as well. I start school September 25th. I only go 2 1/2 days a week, but I have never been away from him for more than 2 hours. I found a awesome lady I trust, but still, how can you fully trust someone else with your baby? I'm worried about the bottle thing as well. I just breastfeed now, and hes only drank out of a bottle a couple of times. I'm going to try to start pumping and bottle feedng so that he will be acclimated to it before daycare starts. I'm also worried about how he will nap, because he will only nap laying on me during the day. He won't even nap on DH, so I don't know how well it will go when she tries to lay him in a crib. Hopefully he will adjust fast.
