I meant to comment on this several times, but each time I was too sleepy and just went to bed instead. Now it's morning! lol
My Christmas was great gift wise(I have craft supplies), alright seeing the family wise, and sucked food wise. I hardly got to see anyone this year. Really missed going to my aunts'.
We didn't get ANY Christmas dinner. The first "dinner" was with my parents. I spent 2 days on sides and a cheesecake. My mom needed to bring two things: a ham and some sweet potatoes. She brought one, sliced deli meat. She warmed it up before she gave it to us, and she called it our Christmas Ham. I am still mad about that. TWO DAYS on my part. Our Christmas dinner was nothing but little appetizers and sides.
My in-laws Christmas dinner was next. We went over there, it was raining. They are preheating the oven for a Christmas lasagna. Yumm! I'm looking outside, and I comment how the wind had picked up. "Hey...the rain is sideways! Sure is windy!" That's when the house started shaking. Power cut out, and it was over 30 seconds later. It was a TORNADO! Carved a path of destruction through the back yard and knocked trees across the road in front of the house. Anyway...power was out. Need electricity to operate the gas stove's thermostat so we got boiled hot dogs. No condiments, nothing on the side. Hot dog, bread.
We got to take that lasagna home to cook. Made it the next day till it was all hot and bubbly. Ate it, got food poisoning.
But the gifts were awesome. They shopped my amazon wish list. lol Got so many craft supplies, it was awesome!
