I realized recently that I haven't really read much to Evan. So I've tried to be more purposeful about reading to him, but he doesn't seem to want anything to do with books. Every time I sit him on my lap to read, he pushes the book away and squirms to get off my lap. (He usually likes to cuddle with me other times.) This makes me sad. Any suggestions? My other son loves books, so I'm stumped.

Winter sometimes likes books, but mostly wants down, too. lol I can get her to sit for a very short book, like 5 page board books. No patience for it now.

I would just keep trying. Do you have touch and feel books? Maybe those would hold his attention longer. Allegra loves books and to be read to, but I've been pushing books on her from the beginning lol

Lucy is the same! Her sister LOVED books right from when she was a baby, requested them my pointing and grunting WELL before she could talk but Lucy would rather get down and crawl to active mischief!
