On February 2, 2012 at 7:55 am, we welcomed Robert Gordon Jr into the world. He weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and was about 20 inches long (but it took two days for him to unbend enough to get a good measurement!).
He was allergic to the proteins in cow's milk (even thru my breastmilk), so we had a hard 5 weeks until we figured out what was wrong with him.
In March, he gave his first beautiful smile (and he never stopped after that).
Learning to roll over and sit up were major, joyful accomplishments that brought him closer to the independence he was craving.
New foods were a source of real pleasure (still are!)
But walking (at 10 mos) was the happiest accomplishment of all!
And at his first birthday, I cried because I'm so proud of him (and so sorry to see his babyhood melting away faster than cupcake icing....)
