ok, I went in on 11-9 at 8 pm for an induction at 39 wks, took cervadil then started pitocin the next morning at 10:30. Stayed on pit. until about 6:30pm with no change in my cervix. So the dr sent me home and sched. another induction on friday 11-18-05. (My DD was 11-16)

5:30 am I arive at the hospital, they start me on pit at 8am. I maxed out on pit at 3pm, the Dr checked me....NO CHANGE in my cervix. My blood pressure had continued to rise and I had pitting edema in my back, so instead of doing days of induction we opted for a c-section. I get prepped for the OR and Zachary Tyler was born at 4:33pm, 8lbs 9oz 20 1/2 inches long. Come to find out, the dr said that if i would have tried to deliver vaginally about 90% chance that it would have ended in c-section anyway, Zach was no where near the birth canal and his umbilical cord was very long and had it wrapped around his neck twice AND around his chest.
I'm glad to have it over with, and my section wasn't bad at all! (nothing like I was anticipating!)
