I went to my 38 week appt and my doctor told me she wanted to induce me that following week because she thought I was going to have a big baby and she was concerned that the longer she waited the harder it would be for me to have him vaginally. I wanted to wait until my due date to see if he would come on his own. My due date was on the 11th. Well that date came and went so I called my doctor on the 12th to talk about being induced. She set me up to be induced that following Monday the 15th. Sunday the 14th I went to bed around 11:30pm. At 2:15 am I went to go to the bathroom and my water broke. So I went to the hospital and by 8am I was 3 cm dilated and 100% ***. My nurse offered me an epidural at around 10am I was 4 cm. I took the epidural. Thank goodness for the epidural. At 2:25 pm I started pushing and at 2:45 pm Garrett Nicholas entered the world, weighing in at 8lbs. 6oz. and 20 ¾ inches long. It was amazing and I would do it again in a heart beat!!!! Here is a picture of me the night before he was born. I never posted a picture of my belly because I never knew how, so I thought I would now.

Wow it feels like it was so long ago!!
