So I got to the hospital at 6am..... By 7 I was in my room waiting for the nurse. She came in and hooked me up to the monitors, started my IV and ordered my antibiotics. Around 9 my doctor came by and checked me out and told me they were going to start the pitocin. At 9:30am the show was pretty much on the road. I wasn't in too much pain, not really any pain at all until around 2pm the doctor came back and told me I had only progressed to 4cm. He broke my water (can I say yuck!!!!) and turned up my pitocin and about a half our later I was having contractions right on top of each other... I thought I was going to die!!! Then the Guy came in and gave me my epidural, which was soooo painful because I was still having really strong contractions right on top of each other... Finally about 20 minutes later it worked, but only on my left side, so they rolled me on my right side, gave me more of the medication and said that should work, but it didn't I was still feeling the contractions, but not half as bad as before the epi. I must have dozed off for a while because I woke up a little before 5 still in pain, but only in my tummy... The nurse decided to check me and I was 10cm 100% effaced and she told me to push to see if the baby was ready to come out. I guess she was and called for my doctor. While waiting for him I continued to push and my doc got there just in time to deliver Taylor. After only about 30 min of pushing Taylor Grace came into the world weighing 8lbs. 13oz. and 21in. long her head was 13 1/4in., so needles to say I got a lot of stitches.... The great part was because I was still feeling the concractions after my epi. They kept giving me whatever they put in it to numb you, so I didn't even feel her coming out. Lucky me because she was one big baby!!! I am totally in love with her and could not imagine life without her in it......
