So, did you survive trick or treat night? I only survived walking around 2 blocks, then my hips started killing me, so I went home and was productive making dinner....lol. The boys made out like bandits.....it's insane how much candy they got in such a short amount of time. My brother came over and went out with Ben again after dinner; so when Ben went to bed I handed him a bag and said here....take whatever you want....heheheh.

My little boy turns 3 on Friday....I can't believe it...it has gone way too fast.

I don't have another midwife appointment until the 11th....they seem like they are spaced out soooo far apart, I know they are only a month apart, but it feels like so much longer. I should have my glucose results back...and I'm assuming since I haven't heard anything yet, then I didn't fail--no news is good news, right?

Hope all is well over your way.

Fingers crossed for your glucose test. I would say no news is good new Yes appts. do seem to be so far apart right now. We go back the 18th and will get another ultrasound to take a closer look at the heart. But after that we only have 1 more appt before we start the every other week ones

The kids birthdays are always so bittersweet. If only they could stay little forever. What have you all planned for his bday?

How's it going getting ready for baby? Are you going to have a shower to get all of your pink goodies?

We went to the inlaws for Halloween and it was nice. The girls got lots of goodies for mom Thankfully Maddie isn't a big fan of chocolate and that is my favorite.

Now the countdown to Thanksgiving is on. I am so looking forward to all the yummy food and I have been craving pumpkin pie.

I looooove Thanksgiving. I've kinda took it over when we bought our house a couple of years ago......it's the one day of the year when I can make a huge meal of real food (hubby is so picky that we normally have pretty much the same things week after week....) and all the family comes over and I just love it.

We haven't done a thing yet for baby. We have to clear out the office, paint, move Ryan over (it's further away from our room) and then paint the room that Ryan is currently in. I've gotten her one outfit so far--I so badly want to get more like right now, but there are so many other things to do! I had a momentary panic attack the other day because I realized that there was only 18 weeks left and the holidays are in the middle of that so it is going to fly by! This weekend we have Ryan's birthday party....next weekend a wedding on Friday and then a baby shower on Sat....one free weekend, then Turkey Day! There goes November...lol

I don't know if we're doing a baby shower or not....husband says yes, but I don't like all that attention.....it makes me feel awkward. I wouldn't mind having friends / family over once she arrives....I don't know how people would react to a shower for a third baby....so I'm kinda torn.

I think we're doing Spiderman for Ryan's birthday....he's really gotten into the really old cartoons, and that's what he was for Halloween, so I guess that's a go. We normally don't do anything huge, just friends and family come over and we normally do cake and pizza and then just hang out with everyone.

I totally forgot about the every other week appointments....and I didn't realize we were that close to those already!! I just realized my appointment is the 16th, not the 11th....I've had a really bad case of prego brain lately....I have to write everything down otherwise I forget it in the blink of an eye....I've made all kinds of tracking sheets at work just so I don't forget something important.

I so hear you on the pregnancy brain. At my last dr. appt they called me up and asked me if I had changed my last name recently. I just stared at them blankly and said no, then they repeated my last name and I said yeah that is my last name. Apparently I had signed in with my maiden name, which I have never done before and I have been married for 7 1/2 years.

Wow your November is gone. I think a baby shower is totally fine. Especially, because this little one is a little girl. I like the idea of having everyone over after birth too.

We don't really need much for this baby. I have borrowed all of the big stuff since we got rid of ours and have started buying some of the little things like baby wash, lotion, milk bags, etc. I am considering getting a sit and stand stroller because I know Grace will be jealous of the baby riding in stroller Other than that our only big purchase is getting everything we need to cloth diaper. This is a first for me and is starting to stress me out!

Hope you guys have a great weekend and Ryan has a fabulous birthday!

Happy Friday! I am so glad to have made it to Friday.....this week felt like it was two weeks long....

I think the sit / stand stroller would be a good idea....as far as the baby wash and stuff....I think I still have a couple of bottles from Ben's baby shower.....I remember putting the date of his baby shower at the bottom of every bottle because I got a ridiculous amount of wash / shampoo / lotion.....I didn't even need any when Ryan was born.....and I think we have one or two bottles left....it was insane...

I thought about trying the cloth diaper thing, but I just don't know. I know they say it's not supposed to be any more work other than the laundry aspect, which to us isn't a really big deal....I'm just afraid of "not getting it" and spending most of my time cleaning up messes.....is there a particular kind you're looking into....I guess I should do some more research, because the cost of diapers is insane.

Thanks for the b-day wishes for Ryan....I still can't believe he's 3....it went way too fast, but now we get to do it all over again. lol. Have a fantastic weekend!

Okay I'm back and I promise no more disappearing. Well, maybe Christmas week That is alot of baby wash

As far as cloth diapers go it seems so overwhelming at first. I have been doing nonstop research for months and have a friend that cloth diapers so I call her when I have questions. I have bought a little bit of every kind to see what I like. The all in one /all in 2 diapers are what I think I will like best. I have been buying mine from ebay, diapers swappers, and found some on my used diapers. I have found some awesome deals and the great thing about cloth is they still have a pretty good resale value.

So how are you doing? How was your appt yesterday? I'm assuming your glucose came back good I go tomorrow for our echocardiagram and I'm guessing they will my schedule my gd test in the next couple weeks. I'm dreading it.

Hey Lady!

I'm good. Appointment went well.....my glucose levels were 8 points below the highest limit, so they want me to do the 1 hour again.....blah. She says as long as I pass again, there's nothing to worry about......she also told me that since I've had a C-section, they won't schedule an induction....they'll let me go naturally, but they will not use pictocin or anything like that....and they'll let me go as long as 42 weeks and then do another section. I have one more appointment in 4 weeks and then it's every 2 weeks already....

Good luck with your echocardiogram tomorow. I hope all is well.

I so cannot wait until turkey day! I have my recipes all out and ready to go....and I just can't wait to start cooking. Turkey coma, here I come!!!

I will keep my fingers crossed for your next glucose test. It's bad enough having to take it the first time!

So if you don't go on your own they are making you get a csection? You might want to talk to them about using a foley bulb as a last resort.

Our echo went good. My dr. was delivering a baby so he will have to take a look at next months appt, but the tech thought everything looked fine. We scheduled the glucose test for Dec. 16th and they did the swab test for premature labor because of my contractions. I am still in shock how fast this is all going

Have fun cooking and eating that yummy Thanksgiving meal! Ahhhh the little things in life that excite us so much when we are pregnant I can't wait to get my hands on some pumpkin pie and I'm not usually a fan.

Yeah, if I don't go on my own by 42 weeks it's automatically going to be another c section, and I'm so afraid that I won't go into labor on my own because I never have before.....I'll have to look up what a foley bulb is--not sure what that is...

I'm glad you're appointment went well and all looks good.

I agree that this has been going insanely fast--I just realized I only have to work 11 more weeks...woooooohoooo!

I've been playing music for baby girl and she's been dancing up a storm...I'm not sure if she likes it or if she's trying to get away from it. I finally got around to watching that show that was on the Discovery Channel a couple of weeks ago an they had done a study with playing music through headphones on the mom's belly and you could actually see the baby's facial expression change--they played rap music and the baby actually look scared and the heart rate shot up....it was really neat to watch.

Anyway. Have a great (and very yummy) Thanksgiving!

Hey Ashley! I just figured I'd pop over and see how you're feeling. All is well here, going to redo my glucose test tomorrow (yay, fun....lol) and then they have me lined up for every two weeks. I *think* I've been getting braxton hicks contractions---everything goes from feeling tight and then it releases---nothing painful, just annoying. Other than that, I'm just counting down the days. LOL.

I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

All is great here. Pregnancy has hit me full force and I am realizing it is time to start slowing it down. Hope your glucose comes back great!

Are you guys ready for Christmas? I bet the boys are getting excited. What do they think about having a little sister?

I completely understand the contraction thing. I have an irritable uterus that never stops contracting and it is just that-irritating.

I hear ya about the slowing down--hubby keeps yelling at me for doing too much...but there are things that have to be done...LOL.

We haven't even started anything for Christmas....that'll be done this weekend and I took off Monday and Tuesday to do whatever else needs to be done. I think the boys are excited about having a sister....it'll definitely be interesting--kinda nervous tho, because I've never really been around a baby girl---the last girl in the family was my cousin, and she's 14 or 15 now.

I'm guessing my glucose came back okay?? I haven't heard anything from the office yet....I would think they would have called me if something is wrong...

So glad tomorrow is Friday....it's Christmas party night for me, so I'm really, really looking forward to a night out with the hubby.
