If not, and none show up in the next 40 or so hours, I think mine may be first. He's still failing BPPs and NSTs and the placenta has started dying (I have an autoimmune disease that causes this, and despite us treating it the entire pregnancy, it's still affecting his growth). He's SGA and estimated at 3lbs 11oz as of yesterday.
He'll be here Friday morning. I really wanted to make it to 34 weeks, but it's just not getting better. I started my second round of steroids for his lungs this morning so as soon as it's been 48 hours since I got them he'll be here.

Oh my! I'm glad they are so on top of things, but I wish you'd been able to make it to 34 weeks. That being said, you did SUCH a good job keeping him baking as long as you did! My last DDC is an April group and they are about to celebrate their first birthday...we made it a full month longer! Many thoughts and prayers going to you and your son, I hope his journey to health and home is a short one.

Aww I'm sorry he can't stay in there any longer, but it sounds like he'll be doing better on the outside at this point.
Glad to hear you can get the shots in beforehand though, keep us updated on how you two are doing!

How scary! I'll pray everything goes great and baby finishes developing fast in the NICU! My sis had twins at 31 wks with no steriods to mature their lungs. They are 9 now and no worse for the wear.
Do they have you on a monitor? I'd be so worried just sitting there!

Yeah I've been on continuous monitoring for the last 2 days. Contractions stress him out so I'm on a few meds for those around the clock and they are definitely less frequent now.

Yeah he's here. He was only gone for 48 hours without phone access. He just finished tonight so timing is perfect. He's working tomorrow and then has a three day weekend. Hoping to not take paternity leave until baby is home.
