Well I just got home from an eventful appointment. I'm 39 weeks 6 days today.
It started with a scary u/s that estimated baby at 9 lbs 12 oz, which I don't believe, but anyway, of course because of that, the doc (not my regular) was not inclined to let me wait until next week. She checked me and I was at 4 cm (and she stretched me to 5) and 80% effaced. She asked if I was having contractions. I was like umm no. LOL! So she put me on the monitors and I was having some contractions, but nothing that I can feel. Anyway, since I'm 5 and contracting, she's sending me to be admitted and they'll probably break my water at the hospital.
She noted on my paper work that I declined the primary c-section and that we discussed the risk of delivering a large baby, which I'm fine with.
So I guess that's about it. Crazy how all my bags are "ready" but I feel so unprepared. I'm waiting on my BFF to come get me and D's gonna get Noelle from school. My mom and aunts will come after my one aunt gets off work this evening. I'll update when I can or have someone else do it for me.
