Seth and Serena had their 1 month check-up this afternoon. Serena's last weight at 9 days old was 5 lbs, 4.5 oz. Today she was 6 lbs, 10 oz! She was also 20.5" long (20" at birth). Seth's last weight was 6 lbs, 10.9 oz at 2 weeks old when he was leaving the NICU. Today he was 7 lbs, 9 oz! And he was 21.5" long (19.5" at birth). They are both growing so well that they no longer need to be on the preemie formula, which is a huge relief because it was crazy expensive. Hooray for growing babies!
Serena did have a heart murmur. It was very gentle and the doctor thinks it's benign. I'm not too concerned. Seth also had a heart murmur when he was in the NICU and it seems to have gone away now. I'm thinking the same thing will probably happen with Serena. The plan is to just check it in a month.
