Hello and I hope that I'm ok here to join you all. I really wanted to EBF but things at this time are not working out that way. So after having a long talk with my maker and getting over the feeling of failure I am going to start supplementing my little guy with some formula and pumped breast milk. hope to get to know you all!!
First of all, please don't feel like a failure. Breastfeeding doesn't always work out the way we hope and the important thing is that you are doing what's best for your baby and for you. Your baby is still getting some breast milk, and by bottle feeding others get to share in the bonding experience of feeding too Although breast is best, formula is NOT a bad thing and will supply your baby with all the goodness he needs alongside the breast milk.
Congratulations on your baby! It's nice to meet you x
Hi Cassandra! I was in your December DDC. I think I am almost at the point that you are. I am EBF but my baby gains an ounce and then loses and ounce...he is two weeks old. I think I may start supplementing in the near future, I can't handle his weight staying steady and waiting out increasing my supply.
Good luck! Don't feel like a failure, you are doing a great job.
