Have you found BFing painful? Did you experience a problems such as cracked nipples or were your breasts generally sore? How did you get past the difficult stages to a point where you were comfortable again?

One breast (right one) has had a plugged duct, and a couple plugged pores since Nevan was a couple weeks old. I started experiencing sharp stabbing pains in it, and the LC said its due to the plugged pore i had at the time. Now that is gone, but illl prob get another one who knows... but i still get the sharp pains sometimes. :/ It feels like its in a duct below and one above is slightly sore. I should be doing the hot compresses, which ill start now to see if it works. Also my nipple on that side is a bit sore.

i had very painful cracked and bleeding nipples at the start but now i have thrush

The very beginning was extremely hard. I had cracked, sore, bleeding nipples for 2 weeks. After that it was still sore, but getting better after he latched and nursed for a few minutes. Now it's smooth sailing.

I had very sore and cracked nipples at first, and I had a plugged milk duck on my right breast early on that was really painful. It was all worth it in the end, but those early days can be tough!
