When I first started to breastfeeding my daughter no one told me about the painful sides of breastfeeding or how to help relief the pain and to heal a cracked nipples..
So I thought we could share some tips how to heal cracked nipples and to prevent it from happening.
* Make sure bub is in the correct feeding position & attached properly. * express milk from around the areola to help soften it. * Use a nipple shield ( only until nipple starts to feel a little better ask lactation consultant first about using one. ) * If you nipple if to painful express with your hand on the side its sore to keep milk supply up. * Keep you nipples clean * allow your nipples to air.
