I had c-sections too. However I had one baby that survived my milk coming in after day 4 or so, so I was fine with it the second time. Experience made all the difference for me. I totally understand moms who supplement out of concern at the hospital, esp since I did it the first time too.
Also, my second baby was much less demanding. That may have contributed to my laid-back attitude about it.
I think my milk came in on day 3 or 4, and I had started supplementing on day 2. I thought for sure she wasn't getting enough milk. Just how she was acting, and just me not knowing if what I was doing was right. We supplemented for the first 5 days, and then she had only breastmilk for many months after since I nursed her.
