What type of issues have you over come with either breast feeding, formula feeding or both? Was it more emotional issues? Physical issues? What did you have issues with that you have now solved?

jaundice - which made him suprer tired & not want to nurse
overactive letdown - which i "solved" by pumping a little before feeding him
milk intolerance/allergy/whatever - eliminated dairy from my diet
milk blister - owie!! just went away with warm moist compresses & massage
engorgement - holy mamma!! glad that went away, my jugs were so tight & sore!!!
latch - man i sucked at trying to get him lined up right, but practice practice practice!!
reflux - he was on zantac for a couple months
i still don't nurse in public

"other" problems include the twoddlers getting into the fridge & cracking a dozen eggs on the floor, running outside to play, spilling juice, and me wiping their butts with one hand while trying to nurse with the other. there should be some sort of contest for being able to do stuff like that!!

Wiping butts while nursing. Something only a mother could do.

My problems...
Riley couldn't latch correctly = used a nipple shield for the first few months. We're not shield free.
Nursing strike/Wouldn't nurse on the right side = nursed only on the left for awhile. He eventually accepted the right side again.
Refusing to nurse due to low supply because I got sick = we're still working on solving this one. Lately he's been actually refusing a bottle from me and wanting to nurse. What a change!
