Ok a short of it....I got a cold that turned into a sinus infection, got the chills and I think even a fever-had the symptoms, this occured about a month ago. I finished Then after me being sick for a week, Alexis started to have cold symptoms-clear "snott" and runny nose with no cough. As I finish my 10 day supply of antibiotic she still has this "cold" and I feel "better" but still have some stuffiness and still got to blow my sinuses out-still got some green....but this past week, I noticed Alexis' nose getting worse "more runny and green snot" so I am assuming she has a sinus infection but her body is fighting it off better than me (my first round). But to play it safe, I have made a doctor appointment tomorrow (Tues) to see if she indeed has a cold, allergies or a sinus infection like her mama ;-(. In the meantime, on top of the sinus problem (me) I now have UTI and got more antibiotics (my second round in 2 week period) but they are going to check me out tomorrow as long I am there to see what is really going on with me. (Probablt to confirm what I already know)

So, my question to you after you read that- Do your kids get sinus infections too? Or is mainly colds and their fine? I just want to know how normal this and how often I will have get antibiotics for her since I get them a lot,

-Dori

UGH! I have a perpetual sinus infection through the entire spring season- they suck! I'm sorry that's what you've got at your house.
Anika and Corbin have had the yucky noses going on 2 weeks now. I think that it's viral though. If an infection is truly bacterial, then it will spread and get worse and worse if untreated. Viral infections usually run there course. Corbin & Anika haven't gotten worse- just stayed the same, and now they are finally starting to clear up a LITTLE. I've been treating it as a viral infections (basically treating the symptoms). Let me know what the Dr. says about Alexis. And sorry about your UTI , I hope it clears up quickly!

Do you get sinus infections a lot? I do because I have oddly small sinuses and bacteria and such gets stuck in there a LOT. That's actually why I'm hearing impaired too. After my initial nerve deafness, I had chronic ear infections as a kid because my estacian tubes are so small, stuff would get stuck and infect SO easily- well, every ear infection causes scar tissue and so forth.
