Hi. I have a 4 1/2 yr old DD. Her name is Laura. cute and extremely imaginative.
When we leave to go places, we will often get about 1/2 way there and she'll start saying things like: "Oh, No! We went the wrong way!" or "We're lost. Now we'll never get to go to Grandma's" (or wherever it is we're going).
We assure her that everything is ok. and Mommy knows how to get there and that we're almost there. sometimes she argues with me/doesn't believe me.
It's about 85% of all trips - big or small.

anyone else see this with their children? do you think this is an anxiety issue we should have her seen for?

Does she watch a lot of Dora?
My children do this. Especially my daughter who has a great imagination as well. She will be like this isn't the way home. And we are like yes it is just watch. She doesn't really seem to freak out or anything just thinks we aren't going the right way. She is starting to remember alot of things. I think it has to do with the fact they are remembering more than they used to and they know that. You could try drawing her a map to help, just a simple one that she can follow. I know for us it happens more when we go a new way or different way.
