We got Mason's done last Wednesday. He only screamed while he was waiting on the doctor. Once the doctor came in and actually started he was fine. Anyway they said it would take 5-7 days to heal. Well yesterday it started bleeding again. It wasn't much and they told me as long as it stopped fairly quickly not to worry about it but does that mean it will take longer to heal? I mean we had it done first thing Wednesday morning and yesterday was day 6 so I'd have thought it wouldn't be bleeding at that point.

Did they show you how to put vaseline on it at every diaper change? I didn't have that problem with either of my boys.

I am a nurse at a medical center and you might be surprised how many parents return after having their sons circumcised. Infection, bleeding, and adhesion issues are fairly common, but they are usually minor. There are also a few other common complications which can occur, but are usually not noticeable until the boy is older. If something doesn't seem right, be sure to see your doctor!
