I have had one. When I was 14 I was kicked in the head by a horse (I was born and raised with horses, they are my passion and have been all my life. I own 2 now.) I had a severe concussion and swelling on one side of my brain. My equilibrium was knocked off and I couldnt stand or walk for 4 days. It was a terrible experience!! By the time the ambulance got to me I was having a seizure. I was supposed to be followed by a neurologist 6 months later to see if there was any permanent damage to my brain, but I never was and as far as I know, there isnt any.
Interestingly, when they were doing the first CT scan they found a very old injury in my neck. They questioned my mom about it as it was a very significant injury, but it was already healed and the vertebrates in my neck were fusing from it and I was just 14 years old but she had no idea what happened. No one thought too much of it after that but at 18 years old I started to get struck by terrible migraine headaches. Now at 29 years old I take 2 preventative drugs daily to prevent migraines and my doctor is sure they stem from this old mystery injury. I also have drugs to take for migraine attacks and within the last 5 years have started to have neck pain. Without that horse kicking me I would have never known. Interesting twist of fate that was!!
