Did you kids have cradle cap? How long did it last?

Both of my boys STILL have this!!! The doc said some kids have it a lot longer than others and it's ok, but sheesh!

Both my boys had it, the first longer than the second. As a first time mom it was crazy for me... I hated it...

Stone had it til he was 6 mths old and Mason til about 3 mths.

If my kids did it was really mild. I heard baby oil and a good scrubbing is a good way to be rid of it. It is a little messy I hear though.

Yeah, I've heard that, but it doesn't work... at least, it never has for us.

Bummer deal. Have you tried lotion? Wish I had something else that might help.

I'm Heather and popping in from the March 08 PR. My DD had cradle cap and I used the Gentle Naturals Cradle Cap treatment and it seemed to help a lot. My DS has it also, but it seems to be peeling off easily with just shampooing his hair.

I've even tried exfoliant scrub. Nothing works. I sometimes wonder if it's just the way their skin is, because both have terrible (bleeding) eczema, too.

saw this and had to pop in. Both my kids had cradle cap bad and this time I used coconut oil. I massaged some into dd's scalp and then combed away from me against the direction of growth of their hair. It took a couple treatments to get it all but it worked beautifully and didn't make her stink. Coconut oil is also not as stubborn to get out of the hair as baby oil is. I just gave some C.Oil to a friend and it worked on her 3 month old little boy too!

Good luck!
