Do you think it's healthy to leave the TV on in the background all day while kids play? Does age or content make a difference in your decision?

I try and turn the TV off after she watches her allotted episode of Word World. I don't like to leave it on all day. DH can't be in the living room without the TV being on though.

Yes, content matters.

Like most things I think it's fine in moderation. Daniel has certain things we allow him to watch during the day and then we switch off or switch to our programmes and find him something else to do. TV can be educational in healthy doses.

We also watch in moderation. Content is definitely a factor.
