Hi, this is my first post here but I'm just looking to see if there are any other mom's out there who have dealt with what I have going on with my son.

Several months ago a small pimple like bump popped up on my son's chest right above one of his ribs. It had some fluid in it when I pushed around on it and was very movable- completely on top of the skin. I took him to the doctor anyway and she said that it wasn't anything to worry about- it was very superficial, moved around easily. Said it might be one spot of molluscum (although my daughter had molluscum and it didn't look anything like that). At this time it was small and flesh-colored.

A few months later I took him back because it still hadn't gone away and I thought it had grown a little bit. She said the same thing... don't worry about it for now let me know if anything changes.

After Christmas it changed a lot. It suddenly went from flesh colored to red and grew a lot. I took him back to the doctor, she said to put warm compresses on it but it might be the body's immune system attacking whatever it was. Within a week it had grown to 5 times its size. At this point it looked like a large boil and you could see some kind of fluid underneath. The doctor drained it and it was full of white cheesy looking stuff. She put him on antibiotics, which he then had an allergic reaction to. I took him back a few days later and the spot was full of more fluid. This time when she drained it it was full mostly of dark blood and pus. She changed his antibiotic and he's been on that for 6 days now.

The spot has filled back up again and gotten larger. It still looks like a boil is the best way I can describe it. It's reddish purple, has even edges, is movable, but is definitely still filling with fluid. He is 3 and is freaking out now when we try to apply warm compresses and see if we can drain it. Other than this he doesn't seem sick at all. He's eating and playing and sleeping normally. He doesn't have any fevers or anything like that. Does anyone have any idea what this could possibly be and how to get rid of it? I don't feel like the doctor knows what it is and I'm super worried.
