Hi! New here! My son is 9 months old and due to a NICU stay when he was born, our OB circ'd him in his office when my son was 11 days old. He used the Glomco, I think.
Anyway, twice, we have noticed that altho we pulldown on the foreskin at every diaper change, he has re-attached. I have been able to open his adhesions with my fingernail, but how long will this continue?
I just noticed this morning again, that he has re-attachment on part of the glans.
Also, he has a skin-bridge we have been told by a urologist, on the underside of his penis. It is causing his glans to pull slightly downward. He also has slight coronal hypospadias, which didn't affect his circ at all.
The urol MD thinks that the skin bridge may resolve on its own. Also, he thinks that the adhesions are not a major concern. my son also has a concealed penis due to his pubic fat pad, which may also resolve. We go to the urologist at 12-15 months old to re-eval his situation.
Are these things caused by a poor circ? I know the adhesions aren't, but the skin bridge? Is that due to our poor care after the circ itself?
I am feeling pretty bummed about this and would appreciate any advice or thoughts. Thank you![/b]

No, it's not a poor circumcision. The doctor probably performed a loose circumcision, which more and more doctors are doing now to leave the penis some room "to grow". Although a looser circumcision prevents later complications that can occur due to a tight circumcision, they increase the chance of earlier side effects like adhesions. Your urologist is right, adhesions usually resolve on their own and there's no need to release them, as this is can be painful. The skin brigde I have to admit I don't know a lot about. It's not fairly common. If the urologist believes it can resolve on its own I'd hold on considering surgery to fix it.
