Hi girls,

I've noticed that men, and fathers in particular have taken it on the chin here lately. Being a man and a father I would like to say that reading the circumstances in a couple of the posts I have to agree sometimes we should be hit with a stick. I am proudly guilty as any man about my basic male stupidity. However that stupidity cannot ever extend to my children, diabetic or not. Unfortunately, the job of educating the ignorant usually falls to women. The ignorant that usually need educating, are too often men. I myself have a father who can be dumb as a boot and prone to panic when it comes to dealing with his granddaughter's diabetes.
We men owe an unpayable debt to you all. For all of us dumb ones, thank you and God bless you all.

ROFLOL, hey now, my dad raised me as a single parent for a while and then with my stepmother. God love him, but he is really clueless on diabetes and the sad thing is he is type 2 now! He tries. Now, my husband on the other hand is hit and miss, but I'll give him credit.

LOL. My dad has type 2 as well but he doesn't follow what the dr. says. I remember when I was younger and he would yell at me for everything I ate. LOL Now he is doing worse with his diet than me and I am the one yelling at him for what he eats!!
