Hello Everyone.
Just wanted to share my progress so far. I started a week before Thanksgiving. I was sick and tired of being over weight and constantly feeling disgust when I saw myself in the mirror. Since my husband and I have decided that we will only have two kids, Evelyn 3 and Aaron 2, there was no excuse for me to not be in the shape that I was before I had kids. So a week before Thanksgiving, I picked up my Power90 dvd, wiped the dust of it and got to it.
Here are some pictures I've taken so far.
November 24, 2008
Before: Weight 168
Measurements:
Neck: 14 and 13/16
Chest: 43
Bicep: 12
Forarm: 11
Wrist: 6 and 8/16
Waist: 42
Hips: 43 4/16
Thighs: 25
Calves: 15 and 4/16
Notes: Ughh.. I was so frightened when I saw these pictures. I knew I was obese, I knew that I needed to lose weight, but I didnt think it was that bad.

December 1, 2008
After 1 week: Weight 164
Measurements:
Neck: 14.5
Chest: 42.5
Bicep: 12.5
Forarm: 10.625
Wrist: 6.5
Waist: 41
Hips: 42.5
Thighs: 23
Calves: 15.75
Notes: It's all in or nothing. I started off the week keeping track of my calories, watching my fat intake, nothing but water to drink and my efforts paid off. My gut went down considerably.

After 2 weeks: Weight 161

After 3 weeks: Weight 159

After 4 weeks: Weight 158

After 5 weeks: Weight 157


After 6 weeks: Weight 155
Notes: I am crazy excited. I was waiting to wear my size 9 jeans thinking that I would probably be able to fit them comfortably sometime in February but I wore them yesterday and they were a bit loose. When I started I was wearing a tight size 13.

After 7 weeks: 154
Notes: I'm noticing a big difference when I look at myself in the mirror. I can't believe I've come this far and in all honesty it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be.

After 8 weeks: 152 lbs
Notes: I've had a really bad week.. I took an extra rest day as i've been really sick and recoverying my ankle but I will push hard this week coming week.

After 9 weeks: Weight 152lbs
Note: No decrease in weight from last week.. not really sure why.. but we'll see how next week goes and if there's no change.. i'll add more cardio

After 10 weeks: Weight 149
Notes: Finally out of the 150's.. couldn't be any happier, well I could

After 11 weeks: Weight 149
Notes: No change this week.. the chance of getting to 145 is looking really slim

After 12 weeks: Weight 147
Notes: I've missed like 1wk of workout through my 90 days.. so even if this was my last week.. I still am going to make up those missed days... so onward to another week.

After 13 weeks: Weight 147
Notes: I had a bad week.. will make it up this week.

After 14 weeks: Weight 145


After 15 weeks


After 16 weeks- 141 lbs


After 17 weeks: Weight 143 (heading in the wrong direction :/ )


After 18 weeks: Weight 139 (finally change)


After 19 weeks: 139 lbs


After 20 weeks: 138 lbs (New beginning P90X time )


After 1 Week of P90X
Weight: 140 lbs (went up but increased strength substantially and I feel getting tighter)

The weight loss has been slow but I'm not discouraged as long as I keep losing inches.

Oh my gosh, I haven't worn this bathing suit in almost 4 years, maybe more. I cant' wait to to wear and not feel flab hanging out all over the place.

I stopped eating junk.. the only thing that I put in my body now is everything whole wheat, lean proteins (mainly chicken breasts), fruits, veggies. When I cook I use very little oil (less than 1/4 teaspoon if at all.. usually use PAM). If there's a carb on my plate I dont' add another.. for instance normally when we would sit down to eat spaghetti, we'd have rolls or garlic bread..so no if i want to have a roll, I cut half the serving of my pasta (which I did once, but now I just say screw the roll.. I want my pasta instead).

Everyday i'm on the net looking for recipes for chicken.. lol When I find one that looks yummy... i tweak it to fit our healthy cooking.

Now as far as exercise.. I walk my daughter to school everyday (about 2miles) and lately it's been horrific with all the snow and ice but I still do it... then I do my workout at night.. I'm doing Power90 (www.beachbody.com) it's a workout that incorporates both cardio and strength training... it's awesome.. if after the workout I still have energry I get on my wiifit and do another 30minutes of cardio or balance/yoga.

So really, it's no secret... If I had one I'd share it with the whole world... but all it is is eating healthy and exercise like a mad woman. I give it my all when I work out and use lots of self control when tempting food comes before me.
