Here's the goal. Me 2 mos before getting pg, 127lbs.
Day before Ruby, 170lbs.
Two wks pp. Not sure what I weighed here.
Four wks pp.
Two months pp.
Three months pp.
Four months pp. Sadly, not much of a change you can see here. But I swear my butt is smaller. A little bit.
5 months pp (and after one month on the Dukan Diet.)
Updated with 6 months pp pics. I feel like... I guess I feel disappointed in myself. I know I haven't worked as hard as I should have. On the upside, though, I'm doing workouts here at home, including crunches every day (300, usually, but sometimes just 200 - I want to hit 500 soon!) and using my husband's door gym. I signed up for a high intensity interval training class starting next week, too.
Unfortunately I spent a weekend in Las Vegas last weekend, and being surrounded by some truly incredible (like, Vicky's Secret model incredible) bodies I felt like I'd been punched in my soft and squishy gut. I also found out that there is no solution for my belly button, which looks like a sad smiley face - because I lost a significant amount of weight between Jack and Ruby, the skin was stretched and isn't going to recover unless I do a full abdominoplasty, which I don't think is really worth it to me (I have no stretch marks, and honestly, if I lost more weight I think I'd be okay.) On the upside, now I can quit wondering about it, and focus on being okay with that part of my body that I don't like very much.
So 6 months out from having Baby #2, I have lost all my baby weight, but am not as toned as I would like. Hopefully that will change and I'll be able to feel better about wearing a bikini by Christmas. Kind of crazy to think that from March of 2007 to now I have gained 30lbs, lost 80lbs, gained another 37lbs, lost 37lbs, and will hopefully lose another 10. That's a lot of poundage to be moving around! Speaking of poundage...
Updated as of 9 mos post partum:
So, yeah. I suck.
Here's me at 9 mos pp. Like they say - 9 months on, 9 months off - I've maintained here for a while. My thighs are a little more toned, thanks to the riding I've been doing on my new horse. My inner thighs not so much, unfortunately. And I guess my abs are a little more toned. I can run 2 miles without wanting to die, so the next goal is gonna be 3 miles without having to walk more than a couple of times. We're going to Cancun in 6 wks, so I need to pig out on salads and kill myself here. I just want to be able to go and have fun, not worry about needing to suck in my gut or how much my thighs are wobbling when I walk.
Sorry the quality of these ones stinks - I tried to fiddle with it, but didn't have much luck.
Update as of 10 mos pp:
I tried my best to duplicate the lighting & pose & clothing from my goal picture. Me at 10 mos pp. Not thrilled. From the side I'm okay, but from the front, you can see the bulge that is my belly. I recognize that everyone has a degree of protrusion due to stomach muscles, but I just wish mine was a wee bit smaller! (It might be easier to take if my saddlebags were a bit narrower, too.) Six weeks till I'm one year pp, by which point I really need to be feeling better about all this. On the upside, I have some fairly good obliques, given my body fat percentage (around 24%.)
Update, Feb 9 2012:
Goal achieved! More or less. I'm 129lbs this morning - two pounds above my goal weight, but I know in that week I fluctuated and could probably have been 129 at some point then, too.
So here we go - 12 months pp, to the day, 129lbs:
