Today and yesterday I've been having globs of what must be my mucus plug coming out. I didn't have this with last time or if I did it wasn't until I was in labor. It's colored dark red/brown. Anyone else having this?

If it's bloody, you need to call your doctor! Losing your mucous plug is totally normal UNLESS it's red/brown.

Don't wait. Please call and let us know what's up!

I thought it was normal to have some blood in the mucus plug. I was bleeding about 3 weeks ago (a very small amount of spotting) and everything was fine. I went to L&D and had an ultrasound the following day. I'll call the office tomorrow morning.

I have had two or three times a little tiny like.. not even pea sized piece of what looks to be mucus plug like in the toilet after peeing over the last week or two. They are always like a kind of dark brown/reddish tinged color?

I was told that if there was any blood in mine at all to go to L&D. Maybe it's because I'm high risk? I don't know. Pregnancy is confusing as ****, man.

Yeah I really have no clue....I am sure it is a good thing to call if it has red or brown in it!

This made me start looking at google images for what they look like. I had something come out of me during sex a couple weekends ago...and my husband was like uhhhh what is this? LOL. I now think it was part of my plug but it was clear/yellowish.

I guess I'll be mentioning it to the nurse when I call in Tuesday to follow up on my UTI business... just in case. It really was just tiny bits like 2-3 times once every couple days or so.

From what I thought..its ok for it to be clear/yellowish..the "bloody show" wasn't suppose to happen till right before labor since its because you are dialating and the capilaries are breaking causing it to be tinted red/brown..I have no idea..I lost a piece of my plug at 26 weeks it was clear looked just like snot lol(ahh the things us pregnant mamas discuss lol) the only time I ever had the red ting to it was after they induced me and I started dialating.

yea I always heard if it is brown or red to call your dr. I have never lost mine, but last night I think I lost a bit after going to the bathroom it was just a pea sized snot looking thing And why do people seriously take pictures of theirs and post them on google seems so weird.

Bloody mucus is actually my sign I'm in active labor. I ignore the contractions until I see that. But it's always a bright red, like your period. I would call about it so they can check you to see if you're dilating. But the brownish could just be leftover from the spotting episode a couple weeks ago. Whenever I've lost my plug, and I tend to lose it pretty early before labor, it's always looked snotty.

I called my doctor's office and was told it sounds like it is my mucus plug but there is nothing to worry about. It can still mean labor is weeks away which I already knew. She said the blood was normal.
