So it started with my root canal getting abscessed over the weekend. I have been in horrendous pain for days and Tylenol just isn't cutting it. The antibiotic they gave me Monday doesn't seem to be doing anything as well. Saw the endodontist today and he said the tooth needs to be pulled because redoing the root canal would be very painful and probably wouldn't work. So I get to get a tooth pulled soon, hopefully at my appt with the oral surgeon tomorrow. Then, due to the pain, I haven't been eating or sleeping much. I went to my peri appt and he said I looked horrible. Plus I was contracting every few minutes, but wasn't really paying attention to them because I literally out of my mind with face/tooth pain. So he sent me right to L&D, where they gave me IV fluids. Luckily, the contractions slowed down with the fluids. But the fetal febronectin swab they did came back positive

My dr said it could be a false positive, but that is something else I get to worry about now. *sigh* Hopefully getting the tooth pulled will end the pain. And I will recover before I have the baby.
So I got the tooth pulled. Apparently you can't have long acting anesthesia when pregnant so I never fully numbed up. I felt a lot of the extraction. But the pain wasn't as bad as what I've been having and it's so much better now. The infection apparently perforated through the bone and my face was swelling. Feeling a lot better now, but now my stomach is just feeling weird. I am having contractions and some pressure. Trying to push fluids the best I can, since they told me after the surgery to drinks tons. Hopefully staying on the couch and resting will calm things down and the surgery isnt' putting me in preterm labor
