I've been cramping for like.. 30 min or so and it is getting more and more uncomfortable.. its not unbearable but it is definitely not letting up so far and I don't feel any like.. tightening or contraction type feeling just the cramping down pretty low and then around in my lower back too.

Should I call in? I am trying to walk around/change positions to see if it lets up but its not working yet.

I've been having that type of cramping on and off for weeks. I think it's normal this late into pregnancy. It doesn't sound like labor to me but KUP.

Last week I had really uncomfortable period-type cramps. They started slow, got progressively worse to where they were really painful for like an hour, then subsided throughout the next couple hours. I haven't had anything like it since, but it sure scared me pretty bad! Good luck at the doc, KUP!

Glad you're going in. Not all women feel contractions the same way and some not at all. So if it's getting worse, and it's fairly regular, you should get checked. Keep us posted hun.

Good call on going in!! I remember contractions feeling something along the lines of cramping, although I didn't experience them very long before going in for the c-section.

Good Luck!!!! KUP!!!!

If I were you with my first pregnancy and they were getting worse not better I would get checked out to. BUT I get them all of the time now and I know its normal for me and I know what labor feels like. If there was bleeding with it then I would go. Keep us updated, hope its just prep work!!

Everything made me nervous with my first pregnancy. This time nothing worries me at all, it is a lot easier.

I've been having some cramping also. they feel like menstrual cramps, not ones that go away then come back. I figured it was either because I was dehydrated or it was stretching.

I hope that yours is nothing too!!

well im home! been home almost an hour now. it started out as just like.. real low below the belly button cramping.. pretty dull with a few random sharp pains and some dull lower back pain that was more than what I normally just have going on.. and that went on for like 30 min, then it started getting worse. it ended up all over my stomach, lower and upper and was pretty intense.. but still more solid than anything and still just the same in my lower back.. and then that got worse and it ended up coming and going, really intensely definitely contracting somewhere between like every 5-10 min I'd say.. but I wasn't timing them. I was like.. hunched over and couldn't get comfy no matter what I did and that went on for like an hour. by the time I got into the docs office it had started calming down but wasn't 100% gone... and then doc saw me.. asked me about it and said he was sending me over to L&D to get checked just in case even though it seemed to be subsiding. By the time I got to L&D it had like completely stopped.. not even any light cramping anymore so they hooked me up to the monitor for like an hour but everything had gone away! so YAY.. no more of that. when it was bad, it was pretty bad though ;\ I was like breathing heavy and sweating and stuff at one point. lovely little scare! had I been getting any BH regularly I'd not have worried but I have only had uncomfy feelings like that twice before and both times were after a day of being especially active.. and today I was not at all active so it was really strange to me. but yeah.. if it happens again I will probably wait it out 2 hrs to see if it goes off on its own (unless of course its even worse than it was).

the end

Sounds like your body is just gearing up to do what it's supposed to in a couple weeks. Can be pretty freaky when you're not expecting it though. Glad it all turned out okie dokie =)
