Janiah Eden Elisabeth Turner was born March 14th at 36 weeks n 5 days. She is 5lbs 7oz 18in long and absolutely gorgeous. We are all in love n overjoyed to have been able to make it that far. She had no complications and is nursing like a pro. I'm gonna try and get some sleep. I'll post pictures and the birth story later today when I get on my laptop.

Here is my birth story ladies.!
I've been back on bedrest since 34wks after I had to be taken to the hospital from school for preterm labor. I was given a steroid shot for the babys lungs and taken out of school until delivery. My dr's goal was to get me to 36wks and then to take things a week at a time from there.
So, on Wednesday, March 14th I woke up to a few stronger than normal braxton hicks at about 6 a.m. I went to the bathroom and went back to sleep until about 9:30. I woke back up at about 10 a.m. when my contractions were getting a little harder to ignore because they were coming a bit too regular for my liking. I got up and went into my living room and wrapped myself in my heated blanket and counted my contractions for about 30-45 minutes. They were coming about every 10 minutes. I texted my mom and sister and told them that I thought today would be baby day and I would keep them both posted. I walked around the house for a few minutes and contractions instantly got stronger. So strong that I knew right at that moment that it was time. I called both my mom and my sister. I told my mom I would meet her at her house and we could go to the hospital together so that Joshua could drop Josiah (our 2yr old) off with my aunt. I got off the phone and I told Joshua (he was cleaning the basement) about my contractions. He thought I should shower and see if that helped them at all (BAD IDEA). I was in the shower for about 12 minutes and I felt maybe 3 or 4 intense contractions. I got out of the shower, called my mom back and told her we would have to just meet at the hospital. The ride from our house to the hospital is about 45 minutes and every minute I was in the car I just knew I was getting closer to death lol. We got to the hospital at about 2 o'clock and of course they put me in the traige and checked me. I was at 5 cms.! They moved me to a room and from there everything is a blurr. I was having very regular, painful, INTENSE contractions about every 4 minutes. They never got any closer together (even during transition) but they definitely got stronger and longer. At 5:08 p.m. my little darling Janiah Eden Elisabeth Turner came into the world after 3 effortless pushes. I was able to get the natural birth I wanted (still ecstatic about that) and she is absolutely perfect. 5lbs 7oz and 18in long, a perfect nurser, and she doesn't even cry (yet, knock on wood).
Now for the moment you've all been waiting for.!
