Can they hurt only at the top of the uterus? I've had all different type of contractions that don't make any since but now they feel like if they go any tighter they are going to pot his butt out of the top. In the same since I don't feel them really at all in the lower part of the uterus or cervix area.

I normally don't feel alot of pain until its really bad, however with DD i felt like such a weeny because it didn't take long into 'active' labor for me to be crying... (mind you I didn't cry when I broke my arm or almost ripped of my toe.) So it could have been excitment, hormones, and pain.

I think it's possible. I get simular pains and I have figured it's because I contract and she pushes against it resulting in a very sharp pain on top that takes your breath away.

Not for me anyway..but I suppose everyone is different...mine are in my whole tummy, pelvis and back! Lots and lots of pressure
